Concepts and Contexts in East Asia is a peer reviewed multidisciplinary journal published annually by the Hallym Academy of Sciences, Hallym University, as part of the Humanities Korea Project for "intercommu-nication of East Asian Basic Concepts." It intends to act as a platform for theoretical as well as historical studies on basic concepts underlying the formation of modem East Asia, with a view to enhancing transnational understanding and communication in/about East Asia.
The coverage includes, but is not limited to:
● Political, social, philosophical, of cultural concept in the formation of modem East Asia
● Theoretical or methodological analysis of conceptual studies
● Translation and adaptation of concepts in Dast Asia
● Transnational conceptual history
● Metaphor and discourse analysis
● Selection and dissemination of concepts
